Internet backs Vivek Ramaswamy as he accuses Donna Brazile of ‘racism’ for mispronouncing his name
DES MOINES, IOWA: GOP candidate Vivek Ramaswamy garnered internet support as he ripped into Democratic strategist Donna Brazile for ‘racist’ mockery and intentionally mispronouncing his name during an appearance on Friday’s episode of ‘Real Time with Bill Maher’.
The show host Bill Maher was talking about the Republican field during a panel discussion with former Rep Adam Kinzinger when Brazile mispronounced the Indian-American entrepreneur’s name multiple times and said “Vivek needs to just shut the hell up and go home.”

“We all hate Vivek, OK? It’s Vi-vake,” Maher corrected Brazile’s pronunciation of the 2024 Republican candidate’s name after Ramaswamy explained earlier this year how to say it the right way.

“Well, whatever. Vi-Vake,” she brushed off, pronouncing his name properly this time. “Would you say that about others?” Maher said but was interrupted by Brazile.
“Donna, I’m Donna. Vi–vake, is it Vie-veck Ramaswama. Ramaswamy,” she said with laughter after pronouncing his last name incorrectly this time around and pronouncing his first name differently.

“Vi-vake Ramaswamy,” Maher then said to which Brazile replied, “Thank you so much. I learn so much when I come on this show. Vi-vake needs to go home.”
“I agree,” Maher conceded, adding, “I just feel like there’s something wrong with everybody refusing to learn to say his name. I just feel there’s a little racism there. Just a little.”

“Vi-vake, Vi-vake, I’ll say it,” Kinzinger intervened at last in the pronunciation dispute. “I’m just saying – I know we don’t like him, but just say his name right,” Maher said.
He then went on to state, “I heard him do a rap and he said it rhymes with cake. This is what the CNN audience needs to know.”
What did Vivek Ramaswamy say about Donna Brazile?
The Roivant Sciences founder addressed Brazile’s mockery in a post that included the clip and alleged Brazile implied Ramaswamy should go home to India.

Brazile’s remarks were picked up by Ramaswamy’s communications director and senior adviser Tricia McLaughlin, who told The Daily Mail, “Reverse racism is racism.”
“If that were a White Republican they would be fired and torn to shreds on cable TV. Donna will probably get an ‘atta boy’ from her colleagues. Gross,” she continued.
Internet supports Vivek Ramaswamy’s ‘racism’ accusation
Ramaswamy’s remarks have garnered immense social media attention with several users supporting him for shredding Brazile.
“Certain people join the Democratic Party because it gives them the power and protection to publicly be racist bigots,” one user said.
“Totally! It’s sad how some people resort to racism instead of engaging in meaningful dialogue. Vivek Ramaswamy is an American, no doubt about it,” the second user wrote.
“Imagine the outcry if he fired back “Well many believe you out to go back to Africa. What do you have to say about that, Dana Brazier?”” a third user-supported Ramaswamy.
“She’s Black, she has a special card democrats gave her that allows her to spew racism,” the fourth user asserted while the fifth said, “Another member of the left mafia sitting comfortably on her throne of lies!”
“If we send the good Donna back home, where would that be? Brazil(e)??” another user fumed.
